Oasis...

I have found an oasis in the city...

A place near where I live and can bike to...
And sit...
And read...

And feel grounded

and

close to nature

I'm grateful for my bike, my perseverance, the city of Albuquerque,
the volunteers at the Rio Grande Nature Center State Park, the state of New Mexico
and Antoine Predock for designing this
portal...

    1. It would not be a place you'd come to early on in your visits to New Mexico....there are SO many other places to see first!

  4. Aahhhh ....that portal says it all. Glad you've found an oasis where you can feel close to nature. It's bound to energize you for the next leg of sorting and clearing your studio space. You won't believe how good you will feel at the end of it!

    1. I was there this morning.....after yet another rain.....and yes, it still says it all. I am looking forward to feeling good....my new space won't be available for continued sorting until after next weekend. In the mean time, I'll sit and stitch ox

  5. Ah yes. The cottonwoods. Even though we left New Mexico when I was still a teenager, I think of the cottonwoods as much as the ponderosa pines when I think of it. And what a nice portal for framing your view!

    1. The Cottonwoods are calling you.... sadly they are dying off as the drought and farming practices have diverted water from them..
