Liselotte, the species is 'Robin'. Most Americans associate seeing their first Robin of the year with the coming of Spring.
The Robin symbolizes: Joy, Hope, Clarity, Renewal, Pleasure, Simplicity, Happiness, Satisfaction, Rejuvenation, Contentment, Bright Future, and finally.....New Beginning. As you can now understand......a very welcome sight indeed!
I am just catching up with your blog, and of course, I love the image of the Robins at the bird bath (amazing photo!), the bird bath "edges" and the glorious blue New Mexico sky.
I do wish, however, you would allow us to know your first name. No where can I find it! It feels so impersonal to not address you with a name.
Hi Leslie! I will be re phrasing my introduction after your prompt.....my name is Marianna, and my 'nick' name is 'Anna'. Please feel free to call me either. I sent you a long note of explanation.....it is not my intention to have this blog feel impersonal. Thank you so much for mentioning that!
So lovely! What kind of bird species are they?
