Oh, JOY
It's Spring!
(look closely for the Hummingbird Hawk-Moth!)
This yard is near the nature center, the river and on a migratory route.
In the past few weeks I've been treated to the bellowing of Sandhill Cranes crowding the sky, a Hawk with Prey and a lively Roadrunner all viewed from my tiny space…
Still rubbing my eyes at the sightings.
how lovely that you've welcomed these ones with your thoughtful landscaping.
ReplyDeleteGosh Velma, thank you. Welcoming them was more than I’d hoped for. The yard is so tiny, and so little room left for planting. It’s turned out to be a bit of a Zen garden.
DeleteAh, the Sandhill Cranes ... how excited we get when they fly by. This spring they repeatedly found the thermals above our property and circled for minutes at a time before resuming their flight north. Glad to hear they made safe passage to your neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteYes, Liz, they are magnificent and it seems no one ever tires of being witness to their magical journey…...
Deleteoooo mothy mothy --- thanks for introducing me to the hummingbird hawk moth -- love love
ReplyDeleteLook at you, you've been busy!! Looks wonderful so far, hope you found your glasses though. I like the Annie Hall ones, too :) Your studio space looks just the right size, it will be wonderful! A.
ReplyDeletefound 'em! They were under a chair in the back yard, if you can believe it. And thanks, I think the space will be just right and cozy too. It will be nice to have all my supplies near at hand.
DeleteI love the landscaping, too... just right! A.
ReplyDeletean honor coming from you!
